The end of one chapter and the start of the next

I finished up work on July 20th and made the trip from Palmerston North to Hamilton the very next day.  Thanks to Denise who had me to living with her and provided support for me during my last few months down in Palmerston North which was a difficult time, and thanks to Mum and Dad the always dependable parents that they are for coming down and picking my belongings up and for being the storage facility for my stuff while I am gone.

I had about 10 days in New Zealand and spent the time between Hamilton and Auckland catching up with family and friends.  I sorted out mum being the authority on accounts and tidied up lots of odds and ends.  Listed my car on trademe and arranged for it to go onto the car yard where I purchased it from and for them to attempt sell it on my behalf.   They were hopeful that it wouldn’t take long. We also took Dad up to Auckland to do a bungy jump off the Auckland Harbour Bridge.  This was the present that us kids got for Dad's 60th.

So I packed my bags, stayed my last night in New Zealand with Richard and Tash and they took me up to Auckland airport for my check in at 8am on Wednesday 1st August 2012.  And now the fun begins.
